Secretary's Report

Good morning and welcome to Sunshine 7am, a Closed meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous.

In accordance with AA's singleness of purpose, "attendance at closed meetings is limited to persons who have a desire to stop drinking. If you think you have a problem with alcohol you are welcome to attend this meeting. We ask that when discussing our problems, we confine ourselves to those problems as they relate to alcoholism."

We meet 7 days a week, Saturday is a beginner meeting and Sunday is our speaker meeting.

Our business meeting is the third Saturday of the month and our Anniversary meeting is the last Sunday of the month.  If anyone would like to celebrate their anniversary with us simply use the Anniversary page on our site and we will order a medallion and celebrate with you.

Service - Are you interested in chairing or hosting a meeting? You only need six months of sobriety and supportive training is available. Ask any member for more information. Please come and join us at our next business meeting on June 21st             (July = July 19th)

Become member - if anyone would like to become a member of Sunshine 7am please go to the contact page at www.sunshine7am.com and say yes.  You're a member when you say you are.

AA Preamble -

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions.  AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

Are there any newcomers to AA or to this meeting?  We ask this not to embarrass you but to get to know you.  Please raise your hand in the participants list if you would like to introduce yourself.

If you need meeting verification, you can go to the  contact us section of our website and request it.

If you are looking for a temporary sponsor please stay until the end of the meeting and connect with members from our group.

7th Tradition - The Seventh Tradition states: “Every A.A group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.”  You can find us

The host will add this to the chat at this time if you’d like to make a contribution.

Announcements - Do we have any announcements for the good of our online meeting?

House Keeping - We have a couple of house keeping guidelines, please make sure everyone is muted until they are ready to share and please keep your sharing  to 3 minutes and the absence of profanity offends no one. We do have a virtual gavel so please do not get offended if you see the gavel appear.

Now back to the chairperson.
